Filipino Social Club: The Launching (Souvenir Program)
Being a volunteer and assigned to be the Souvenir Programme Art Director cum Editor of the Filipino Community's Philippine Independence Day 2005, 2009, 2011, 2012, 2014 & 2015 and Bayanihan Festival 2008, 2009, 2010, 2011 and 2015 celebration in Dubai, I was again tapped to do the same for the launching of Filipino Social Club held on 31st October 2019 at Radisson Blu Hotel, Dubai.
The initial plan is to have 60 pages but reduced to 52 pages only as some of the requested messages and articles did not come on time.
This is the cover page which is the same artwork used in the hotel stage as backdrop.
At the back of the cover is the Editor's page where I had the opportunity to practice and share my writing skills, lol. I am not trained to write as I am an engineer by profession and English is not my native language, this is just about trying my best to contribute whatever I can for the love of the Filipino Community. I know there are typical critics who will try to find some mistakes and will use them just to shame the writer, but who cares anyway, lol.
Below are some of the messages and articles' layout
The photo from the above article was also taken by me being the official media photographer.
The photo of our ambassador in her message was also taken by me being one of the volunteers during the townhall meeting held at Pullman Hotel, Deira, Dubai
The photo in the above article was taken by my son Collin Dayle during the launching at Radisson Blu Hotel, Deira. I was not able to attend the launching because I have an assignment in Abu Dhabi on that same time.
