24th January 2022 marks an international debut for KVG in Dubai. KVG has inked a series of collaborations with 3 different parties in the effort of expanding the local kenaf industry to the global level. The event took place in The St. Regis The Palm, Dubai. The officialization of the collaborations was initiated with the MoU signing with the United Nations (UN), represented by Dr. Mahmoud Al Burai, the President of United Nations Office for Disaster Risk Reduction (UNDRR). The collaboration is a token of commitment from KVG is reducing the carbon footprint and contributing to nurturing sustainability. KVG also officialized a collaboration with the Indonesian Ministry of National Development Planning of the Republic of Indonesia (BAPPENAS) and had The Honourable Datuk Hajah Zuraida Kamaruddin, the Minister of Plantation and Commodities, Malaysia as the witness. As an effort in keeping the quality of our produce, KVG secured cooperations with 3 universities, namely University of Portsmouth, UK, University of Bangor, UK, and OWL University of Applied Sciences and Arts (TH OWL) with a research institute BioFiber Products R&D. In essence, the secured partnerships cover the areas of environment health, research and development, as well as kenaf market expansion. The collaborations are a proactive initiative from KVG in expanding the local kenaf industry towards the global spotlight.
