Milo's journey in photography began at the Filipino Workers Resource Center in Dubai, where he pursued formal education in photography back in 1997. During his tenure, he played a vital role in establishing the first Filipino Photography group called "STILL." As his expertise grew, he co-founded the "OPPPS" - Overseas Pinoy Professional Photographers Society in 2003, further solidifying his commitment to the craft.
Beyond his creative pursuits, Milo Torres has also contributed to the realm of education. He served as an adjunct professor at Amity University in Dubai International Academic City, where he imparted his knowledge on photography and video production to MBA PR & Events Management students starting from October 2014 until 2017. Moreover, he conducted courses on Adobe Photoshop for Architecture & Interior Design students since February 2015. In November 2016, Milo took on the responsibility of teaching Graphic Design to Journalism and Mass Communication students.

Personal
is a self-employed TECOM partner under DUBAI DEVELOPMENT AUTHORITY (Formerly Dubai Technology and Media Freezone, then Dubai Creative Cluster Authority), working as creative director, cameraman, video editor and commercial PHOTOGRAPHER with office at 2/F, CNN building, Dubai Media City. Running a client-friendly, service-oriented business he believes that great creativity often is the result of team effort and values working closely with his clients.
He graduated at Mapua Institute of Technology on March 1986 with a degree of Bachelor of Science in Electronics and Communications Engineering and passed the E.C.E. Board examinations. He continued his study at Access Institute of Computer Technology in Cubao, QC and earned a Diploma as Computer Engineer in 1988.
He joined Basic and Advanced Photography Training Programs held at Filipino Workers Resource Center under the auspices of Philippine Government from 1997 to 2001 and volunteered to continue the program until 2016.
ACHIEVEMENTS
He was a service engineer at SHARP (Office Automation), component level troubleshooter and technical supervisor for almost 10 years (6 years in Manila and 4 years in Dubai) before he joined Inter-Consort Mercantile & Investment in Dubai as Senior Engineer and Network Administrator for six years. It was during his stays at Inter-Consort when he gained hands-on experience in network administration, web site development, and other server related applications while at the same time practicing PHOTOGRAPHY and GRAPHIC DESIGNING during weekends and free time.
In 2003, he started on his own and got his license as TECOM Partner in 2004 with office at Dubai Media City. Since then he has been providing services in Professional Website Development, Online Database Applications, Digital Imaging (Still & Video Photography) and other Internet Related Business Development solutions. His clients includes Sharjah Duty Free, Dubai Duty Free, Grant Thornton International, PATCHI, Yamaha Motors ME, Siemens, Nihon Kohden, Geberit, Dubai International Bowling Center, British Business Group, MAERSK Lines, SONY Middle East, Venture Communications, Leo Burnette, Sky Team, Air France/KLM, Renaissance Hotel, Crowne Plaza Hotel, Movenpick Hotel, Ibn Batutta Gate Hotel, Dubai International Hotel, Holiday Inn Express, Pico International, TPS, University of Wollongong in Dubai, Forever Living Products and many more small to medium size businesses in UAE among others.
He was the Art Director of the Philippine Independence Day 2005, 2009, 2011, 2012, 2014 & 2015 and Bayanihan Festival 2008, 2009, 2010, 2011 and 2015 Souvenir Programs in Dubai. He also managed to create 2 souvenir program magazines for OFWs Lead in 2013. He produced three 28-page souvenir programs for free HTML Web Design courses. He was also involved in the production of 2001 & 2002 souvenir programs for Philippine Independence Day as well as the newsletters of the Filipino Computer Club in Dubai.
He designed and implemented a training program for Web Development using HTML at Filipino Workers Resource Center (FWRC) in the year 2000, and later introduced others such as Flash animation and Java scripting. He has conducted several short workshops and organized a well-attended four-hour seminar on ‘Web Fundamentals for Internet Enthusiasts’ held at Inter-Continental Hotel on May 2001 with more than 180 participants.
He is one of the founders and the past (2010-2012) president of the Overseas Pinoy Professional Photographers Society (OPPPS) based in U.A.E. He is then re-appointed on Feb 2015 as the current president.
