Last month (October 2023), I received an intriguing request through an agency – to create a promotional video for a branded pickleball paddle set. The initial point of contact provided me with very little information about the project's scope. When I inquired about the brief, all I got was a vague request for a one-minute promotional video for the product. It quickly became apparent that the client was ill-prepared, and it appeared that I would be responsible for everything from scripting to the final product. To make matters more challenging, the client's budget was not ideal, as they initially approached the agency with a "per hour" rate for video production.
Given the client's evident lack of experience and my commitment to the agency, I decided to offer my assistance in helping them meet their requirements. I suggested that the client hire two models who could showcase the pickleball product in action, and I offered to create a script and storyboard for the project for a fee. The client accepted the proposal, and here's the storyboard I developed to bring the project to life.
